Arlington Inn in De Soto
On April 12th our regular meeting will take place in De Soto--a wonderful and historical inn. Same agenda and same program, you are welcome to stay after to soak in the historical aspects and enjoy lunch. Anna Wells will be chair for the meeting as I will be at the Missouri Writers Guild week-end Conference. Please enjoy yourself and share fun with like-minding individuals. dorr
To the Arlington:
From Highway 67, take HWY 110 West to Main Street De Soto (5 or 6 miles) - Turn South on Main Street. Several blocks down, you will see the Arlington on your left. You can’t miss it. It is a three-story white building with large black letters on the front. You will turn left to go over the railroad tracks to get to the hotel.
From HWY 21 South, you will take HWY 110 East to Main Street De Soto and turn right to follow the above directions to the hotel. HWY 110 ends at 21.

What: Ahh a new topic for the Spring menu. Needing to know what is required for the formatting of a submission or a contest that you really want to win. Don't let the editor or the agent throw it out on the first exam. Find out what you need to know or what you need to do to survive the first examination by the all-powerful editors and/or agents. Join us all as we explore what it takes to get beyond the first step. April 12th, at Arlington Hotel in DeSoto, Missouri. Anna Wells will be be in charge and you will be in wonderful hands. The meeting will be held at Arlington Hotel, DeSoto, Missouri, 63020. Please see directions page for direction to the hotel. Not necessary to stay and eat lunch, but certainly a wonderful respite.
A new item has been set for visitors to our site. On the page Tasty Tidbits, you will find several for fun exercises for writers and others. These exercises are updated daily. Instead of playing Hearts on Yahoo, you can try your hand at these challenges. Many tips on Writing Craft is also uploaded on this page. Great and informative articles.

Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Highway 61-67 S [At I-55 Crystal City] Festus/Crystal City. The site is easily reached from surrounding areas both in and out of the county. Place your starting address below and then click Get Directions. The ending point is already entered.
